just figured out its stuck on my front defrost, i popped the hood and there is a steel cilinder with a hose running out of it then on the other side it has a hole but its missing its hose, could this be it or could not having my serpintine belt on effect this or not having a radiator effect this?
well im posting here because of my air noise, i was just posting that my engine isnt running to see if it would be usefully to you guys on trying to help me figure out whats going on...i dont have a clue about any of this since this is my first car
So your car is not running at all and you are concerned that it is because of the air noise you hear when the car is not running? When do you hear the noise? Does your motor crank/fire/turn at all? Need more specifics.... You have no radiator..... Dope.... lol... read post a little better.... LOL
no, i just got my battery recharged for the first time so i was checking everything inside the car, like lights, radio, turn signals, ect, when i hear the noise is when i turn on my air, and my car cranks but thats it
off topic: yeah i bought the car last monday and the PO told me it was missing its radiator and its drive shaft and the fan and the serpintine belt was in the back hatch, well when i went to pick up the car on tuesday i figured out the car has a dead battery so i just finally put the battery on charge sunday and took it off today and put it back into my car, so like i said this is the first time iv been able to do anything with the car besides sit in it lol, so when i was checking out everything electrical i turned on my air just to see how it ran and next thing i hear is this really loud sound...but as i said in a few posts back i popped the hood to see if it might be under there and felt the air coming out of my window defrost, but no matter what i turn my controls to i cant get any air inside the car, only on the window and it still sounds really loud even for the defrost...hope this clears up what im asking
No running engine = no vacuum = vents default to defrost in the event vacuum is lost.
Noise... bad blower motor (bearing/bushing) or something stuck (leaves, dead mouse) in the housing against the fan cage.
Take the blower motor out and test it for noise.
