Memcal?

Some people have been saying I need a memcal and calpak from a 5 speed car now that i did an auto -> manual swap. Does anyone know what they are?

they are the chip/chips in the ECM that contain the calibration data for a specific engine/trans/emissions combination, they are under a cover on the ECM that is held on with two screws

I placed a sticky up top with a picture of what these items look like. For your ECM you will need a different PROM. The CALPAK will stay the same.

Re: Memcal?

I have a 1991 TA vert. with auto trans. I am the original owner and car is bone stock. Car will not run and appears ECM and prom chip took a hit. I am looking for the original MEM-Cal/prom chip-not the performance chip. Part number is Delco AXXF 3076 014 045915 AC9104B. Already replaced the ECM but prom chip didn't come with it. Any ideas where I can find a new MEM-Cal/prom chip? My email is radmo@gvtc.com. Jay
