Directscan & its Wiring

Hi Folks

I have a 1989 TTA and want to install directscan on my laptop to fine tune my quarter mile performance.

but where to get the cable which connects the pc with the ecm? or is it plugged into the diagnose port?

help is much appreciated.

The cable would come with the DirectScan hardware. There is a board that plugs onto the ECM edge card connector. The cable goes between that board and the PC/laptop.

And that would be piracy. The more people violate that concept, the more the rest of the folks have to pay, and/or fewer products get developed.

If you want to actually do it *right* and get the high speed ALDL that will allow for better tuning, then swapping over to a 1227749 is the answer. And with that ecm you can dump the MAF and just run MAP. Not to mention the 58 source code has been public domained.
