ALDL program for IPAQ

Hi, Anyone who happens to have a scannerprogram written for IPAQ pocket pc for windows? I mean, when you need to scann the car you just dont have a laptop with you! But its more common to have a navigational system based on a IPAQ! For example the HP hx4700 have a usb/serial cable and it would be easy to use a standard ALDL hardware interface. My ECU is 1227730. Anyone who have some information?

I also would like to know about this. The closest thing I have come to is getting DOS to run my hx4700 and looking for a DOS based datalogger, which is an ugly solution at best. Although, I'd like to be able to datalog both my T/A and my other project car, so more than one ECU compatibility would be nice.

Some info!

Hi, I got some info from a guy on another forum! I dont know if the program will work on a 3 gen firebird! But iI do believe the connector is an OBD1 (OBD) and cars from 1996 has a OBD2. Well I dont know if the program works for a pontiac so i have sent a mail to the guy who wrote the program! Another major problem is that I cant even test it because my hx4700 has been sent för service for two weeks! Plese check out my link and get back to me on this forum if you think it will work!

I've saw that program months ago. I'm reasonably certain it's for OBD II only. Sadly, this will not do for 3rg Gens as they are OBD I. If you could convince the guy to write an OBD I interface though, that would be sweet.

Send a message via ICQ to Goumba T
I started one a while back but never finished unfortunately as there wasn't enough interest to invest the time required. I had started writing it because none existed and sadly this is still the case.

On this plus side, the framework I'm using for my Mac/Unix Scan tool supports PocketPC too, so maybe when I finish that I'll add the necessary stuff for the iPaq.

Sorry for reviving and old thread but I think I made some progress. I found a PPC app that can read serial data and output it to the screen as well as log it. It's not a turn-key aldl logger, but it's a start.

Any adventrous programmers out there willing to give it a go?
