Jumping 12V to ALDL terminal G

Guys, I'm ashamed to ask this but engine electrical is something I don't understand at all.

I want to test my fuel pump by supplying 12VDC to my ALDL terminal G.

Where is my nearest 12V source in an 86 305 TPI? Is there something in my fuse box? Do I have to run a wire from my battery? Do I jump terminals similar to when we pull a trouble code?

I've searched the boards but can't find an explanation for this. I'm sure it's simple. thanks for any help.

Check the fuse block, should be a tap or 2 labeled 'BAT'.
