bad ecm???? how do you know???

how do you know if your ecm has decided to go bad on you?

car is still drivable but i want to rule it out as a possibility for my lean code 44. theres soooo many thing i can replace or test for this problem. i would hate to do allll of that if all i had to do was replace my computer.


any suggestions?

Some shops can test your ecm for free examples include autozone, or advance auto.

I would start by checking your 02 voltage... May have gone bad and is sending a false lean to the ECM... Does the engine seem to be running rich and you are getting a lean code? What do your spark plugs look like?

wana know how you know? well u cange ur maf with a new or rebuilt one and vrooom! ur car comes back to life.

turns out after changing relays and no difference i put on a rebuilt maf and car runs much better
