| Re: wideband vs 4 gas I've seen a 5 gas (same thing, just monitors an extra gas) in action, and the biggest drawback I see is that there is a HUGE lag time from change in motor to when you see the results. I just don't think it would be a practical tool for tuning a motor. I could be wrong, but there's my 2 cents.
At least for me, the output of an O2 sensor just makes more sense to interperate. I don't know if your 4 gas (I assume you have one, which is why you are asking if it could be used) can do it, but figuring out the Oxygen:fuel ratio would be pretty hard to do if all you have is the raw data.
