Odd VATS Issue

Hello everyone,
Hope all is well. I am working on a 94 camaro Z28 during a motor swap, and a lost key. I am curently using a resistor in place of the key after a lock cylinder change. When I turn the key to run, the security light comes up then clears, but won't crank. I remove the resistor and the security light come up then clears as well, and does not crank. I checked to see if the connection from the vats to the anti-theft relay was being grounded, its not, and I found that when I turn the key to crank, I do not recieve 30hz 50% cycle on the fuel injector enable connetion on the pcm. Is my Vats module shot? or am I just missing something? I also tested to see if it was recieving the ING power and Vats power, as well as the ground connection, they checked good. Now I know that the resistor I am using is the correct one.
Please help with any suggestions.
Thank You

Re: Odd VATS Issue

Thanks for your input, but I have discovered that my Vats module is bad, no doubt about it. The stealership wanted $200 for a new one ,so I just made a 30hz 50% 5V square wave generator for $25, if anyone needs one let me know.

Re: Odd VATS Issue

Here are the schematics or do you want me to put one together for you.

IC1 : LM7805 Voltage Regulator
IC2 : 555 Timer - LM555CNB
C1,C2 : 0.1uF ceramic capacitor
C3: 1uF electrolytic capacitor
R1: 3.9K 1/2 watt resistor
R2: 10K 1/2 watt resistor
R3: 10K multi-turn linear trimpot
PB: Prototyping Board 3.6" x 1.8"
ICS: 8pin IC socket

*I know the IC1 says LM7812 in the diagram, but it should read LM7805

Dont forget to adjust the trim pot to get a 18.89k reading between pins 6 and 7, this will give you a 30hz signal. You might want to verify the signal with a frequency and %duty meter as the resistance needed differes with the components used.

Also if you are going to use this, don't forget to jumper the start enable realy, or ground the negative wire running to the start enable relay

*Note this image will be up for about 2 weeks, unless somone wants to host it.
