I'm puttin a 350 in my 89 pretty soon and I was wondering if I could use the prom from the ecm for my L98 86 vette.. just a thought.. if not I'll just run it with the 305 prom until I can have one made for my setup..

Hi, you can but just remember the the the vette prom has a more aggressive timing..You engine may knock...You can burn your own chip like I do...Use the 89 vette bin file(ARAP) with 6E.....I am using this in my 88 Iroc...Works very well, excellent smooth idle.......I copied my stock chip timing and pasted it to the ARAP file...There are a few things you have to tweak with the ARAP file..Let me know and I can fill you in on the tweaks..shoot me an email
I dont know for sure on the MAF Corvettes, but the speed density Corvettes have an oil temperature sensor that the thirdgens dont have. If you use a Corvette prom, it will set a ses light all the time for a missing oil temp sensor.
hmm didn't think about the oil temp sensor.. my vette does has one.. I'll probably just stick with the 305 prom until I can either burn one myself or have one burnt for me.. thanks guys! Crusher I followed you link.. would the $85 setup be adaquate for my purpose? I'm not looking for anything fancy just want it to run decent... It will be a very mild setup, a dished piston 350 with 305 tpi heads and an lt1 cam..
