Gas mileage/Fuel economy

I hope this is the correct place to ask this. I as many I am sure are
feeling the gas crunch. I need/want a truck, but want good gas
mileage, so that leads me to want get a rice burner. I don't have the
room or funds to store my 1989 IROC and I really love driving it (3 of 5 cars
I owned were Camaros) . So is there any way to get my 350 to get
35 mpg? It is my daily driver and I would love to be able to flick a
switch and go from power to performance. I would love to hear any
ideas or suggestions on this subject. I have a pure stock engine and
I get about 22 mpg if I don't get on it too often.

Re: Gas mileage/Fuel economy

The '89 code in your ECM has a lean cruise mode. Disabled from the factory. You can enable it and tune it in for better highway mileage.

You can also do a t-56 swap. The double over drive realy helps alot.
