Got new 1226870 ecm, part numbers different...does it matter?

swapped my 85 Ta tpi ecm today. the part #s on the boards and proms are different on both units. want to make sure this board isnt for a 6 cyl or a stick vehicle. It ran pretty rough when I plugged the new setup in.

Here are the differences:
Original ecm:
Board p/n 255001205745116
Prom: supertech p/n 11 522
small chip:16042431 2 8448

New ecm:
board p/n 255005106945050
prom: delco 9550 32500 E5012 U5G23057
small chip:16042431 2 8450

The car ran kinda rough with the ALL NEW ECM COMPONENTS.
I then switched the prom and chip from my original board onto the new one, and it ran better.
Does it make a difference in boards still being different #'s though?
Im assuming that supertech chip was programmed for my car originally differently than the new one is, so maybe this was the only problem?

The new ecm DID fix my main problem though:
The fuel pump was running CONSTANTLY instead of just priming for 2 seconds with key in RUN position, then shutting off.
THIS IS NOW GOOD!!!!!
I also checked for error codes with the new ecm, and my fan runs when the pins are jumped in the aldl cable now in test mode.
That NEVER happened with the original ecm. Is this ok?
I just dont wanna screw anything up again!!!
Thanks, Paul

Thanks z 28 jari.
Im glad that its ok for the fan to run, seems strange though. Is this normal for it to change (fan running) with different ecms?
I also have tried to search the boards and google for these board and prom numbers, and can't find any info.
I cant find anything on supertech proms either.
I also cant find a burnoff module or connector ANYWHERE under the dash.
Does anyone know if this new ecm board would still function in my setup even if it IS for a 6 cyl. or stick vehicle (after i swapped the prom to my original) Some of the resistors and the varistor colors are different too.
Is it possible that they are the same, but GM may have used different vendors for board components????
Also:
What does the little chip next to the prom operate?
Thanks, guys.

Have a 85 Iroc-Z 305/TPI and when you pin the aldl the fan always comes on. Had the car since new, always has done that.
