bad chips or is something else?

after spending 200.00 this week for tps iac spark plugs coil and other crap i finally just put in a new chip my friend just gave me ,and what do you know all is fine. now, this is chip number 3 the other two were from the jy this one is brand new could of i really of gotten two bad chips or is something else burning these out? the ecm itself is brand new.

Are the jy chips the same letter coding? Just tossing out a guess here. Maybe the JY chips were from some incompatible configuration like a six cylinder?? You probably already know it but the chip holds that info and is programmed engine specific. Glad to hear you're back running good!
