Hello everyone,
I have an 82 firebird that i've been restoring. Its sat in a barn for decades now and i'm having alittle issues getting the idle down. I've finally troubleshot it down to the MAP sensor. If i disconnect the small vacum line that goes too the MAP sensor the idle comes down to about 900rpms. Where as with the vacum line connected it idles at about 1700 rpms. So i'm asking for some advice to where i should go from here. Should i try and replace the MAP sensor, should i let it go? I'm open to suggestions. I'm in need of some advice. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
