350 Motor on a 305 Computer?

I'm searching as well, turned up a few answers...but would like specific answers to my situation, please and thanks.

What happens? What kind of trouble am I in for?

Details are:

'88 305 TPI IROC Computer 165 ecm, MAF - 19lb injectors blah blah...
'91 350 L98 TPI Corvette Motor - 22lb injectors, aluminum head blah blah...
Converted the motor to MAF

The motor was using a 730 ecm and was Speed Density in my last Camaro.

It is currently running on the 165 ecm (quite strong), but the idle is sporadic (sometimes it won't find idle and I can't even kick it down).
I tried using the 730 ecm but the motor doesn't even turn.
(I know, SD vs MAF = different sensor locations, so it shouldn't run)

What am I going to be missing out on (performance, fuel economy, etc...)? Is it worth my while to track down an ecm for a 350 IROC (or even just get a custom burn on the 165 or the 730) or can I keep on rolling the way I am?

Thanks much lads.
