As stated above, most Windows computers can run "DOS" programs, the tricky part is if Calmap will access your serial port properly. I have had minimal success with most USB to Serial adapters I have tried.

I use the docking station that came with the laptop( has female 9 pin already) . I slowed down the port 1 speed to 1200 baud and 6 bits and I can program everything now. I was having a problem with the base fuel map pulse widths but its all resolved with the slower speed now.
