Adding injectors to TBI

I know it's been asked but I keep searching and find nothing.

I want to change the fuel pump and add the TPI injectors to my TBI wiring harness and all I read is about repinning. What I want to know is why can't I just Add injectors and pump and be good to go?
Since the TPI is a batch fire system why wouldn't when the TBI signal says fire the injector be the same as batch firing. I know I would have to tap into a couple different connects as well but I looking for why it wopuldn't work to get a better understadning why not.

I found this for you. I searched "drivers".

Re: Adding injectors to TBI

Why not convert to megasquirt with the 746/747 adapter board? This will solve all your issues with trying to drive port injectors.

It will allow you to plug a MS V3.00 with a MS2 processor directly into your harness with NO wiring mod's. Plug and play.

It looks almost like this board except the 746/747 is green in color. http://good-times.webshots.com/photo...03786106VdvqSv

Nice to see Megasquirt supports TBI. If you go ebay you may find several differing MS. Older models vs newer models and the price will reflect that. Seems every couple years a new release.

MS support of TBI is iffy at best. No, what they are doing here is to scrap perfectly good GM ECMs for the connector and case. Much better off staying with a GM ECM over the MS.
