Best bet is to check out Mike's site:

http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/z28/ecm_swap_730/

He details what is required for this swap.

Re: 86 ecm/harness to 90 ecm/harness

There are a couple of things in that thread that aren't addressed because that car is newer than yours. You already know about the brake warning switch and the wiper harness (both CAN be removed in one piece), but you may not know about the fuel pump wire. The fuel pump wire in your 86 comes into the dash harness by the ECM, not the firewall connector. You will need to add a wire to the firewall connector to run the pump.

You DO know you will also need to replace the wiper motor and washer bottle, right? Either that or swap the wiper harnesses from the old harness to the newer one.

Head over to Austin ThirdGen and there will be a pinout for the C100 and the C207... You'll need both. I only have what's relevant for the V6 in my 302 to 730 swap guide.

BTW, you can't just get the wiper motor and be done... Our wiper motors have the washer pump connecting within the timer cover. The 88+ have the washer pump in the washer fluid bottle. You need the bottle as well.
