So i'm in the progress of swapping my 85's old ECM out for a new '165 ECM. I'm using the tech article's repining instructions, etc. Now I'm basically at the part where I've got to set up my new MAF burnoff and power relays. A while back I received some harness wiring and 2 relays from a member here on the boards. These 2 relays are identical in model#, which is 10038311. On one relay another number says 6238, and the other 6231. Apparently 10038311 is a fan relay? So, i searched around on the boards and found that the proper parts numbers from GM were : GM 10067925 MAF power GM 10094701 MAF burn off Does anyone know if I can use my 10038311 relays in place of these? or should i just go out and get some GM replacement parts with the proper part number?

I believe the burn off relay has been updated to the 94701# the power relay may have an updated number as well. as far as i know u can use the fuel pump & burn off (high idle) relays in place of each other, the part numbers are the same. the power relay has more electronic components inside. they're fairly inexpensive $15.00 napa. im about to go get one of each myself. my tach flutters & the egine stumbles when i put it into gear. there's a great thread in here about the relays, very informative
