| BPW constant...here's what I'm thinking... I've searched thru the archives a couple times trying to figure out if raising the BPW makes the AFR richer or leaner.
Maybe I'm looking at this wrong but consider this...
Using the BPW constant formula I find the BPW for a 350 with 61.2 lb/hr injectors...and then the same 350 with 90 lb/hr injectors. Val = 1461.5 * (VOL/RATE)
61.2 lb/hr = BPW 135
90 lb/hr = BPW 91
Since a bigger injector will flow more lb/hr...then wouldn't a lower number correspond to a leaner AFR? If the 90 lb/hr injector can flow more fuel in a given amount of time then wouldn't you need to lean it out. So by that reasoning wouldn't a lower number = a "leaner" BPW? | | |
