looking for a 749 memcal. im sure i could use the 730 memecal but there is the knock sensor issue along with the netres so im wondering if anybody has a spare for sale. or do you know if it has to be a $58 code 749 or will the one found in the quad 4 work ??
i made the harness that was easy what i need is either the cips used for teh knock sensor and the netres or a memcal. does anybody know if the quad 4 memcal will work ??ooh and craig i never got to give you props on the 8 bin switcher for teh C3. this thing is nice.
What engine do you plan on running? If it is a small block TPI then use the stock memcal from your 730 ecm. You don't want to run a memcal from a 749 because it has the wrong esc and limp home information.

Hey Funstick, you say you have several 730 memcals. You wanna' let go of one? This way when I pick up the 749 ECM, I'll be set. All the ECM I've seen don't come with memcals.
just do what i do when i need a memcal thats as easy to find as the 730. goto teh bone yard and kockone out of an ecm for free of cheap.i just cant find the 749 memcals anywhere
I'm refusing to divulge info to a profiteer. Especially info that is easy to obtain.
Oh...I'll be nice and let you know that the 749 will work with either a magnetic or optical input, but you will have to figure out what needs changed on your own.

as for the VSS thanks for the info. i did a bit more digging and by just using one side of the input i can use an optical VSS. as for changing the bin i know about the bit set flag.not a biggy there.also this is for my personal vehicle.
