Its a 7730 based TPI retrofitted into my 85 Sport Coupe.
I am stuck in BLM cell 4 for no apparant reason. I did a little research on here, and heard of two possible causes.
1.) No VSS. I know this is not a cause, Because the 86 IROC I just converted to Speed density Did Not have a VSS either, and I did not have this problem, So Rule that out. I don't have a VSS installed yet, however.
2.) Canister Purge. I am using a stock BIN in respects to this, and am Still stuck. I have tired Several Differant BINS, Including one wich I KNOW works. Would it matter that I have no Charcoal Canister to Purge ? doesnt make sense that it should.
So, I may be an Idiot, but I have the following Codes -
41, Cylinder select Error. I think I am using a V6 memcal. Going to GM tomarrow to straiten this out. - Could this cause it? I wouldnt think so... but Maybe ?
23 LOW MAT - Not really sure what the deal with this is...
54 LOW fuel pump Voltage. Since this is a retrofit, I cut the wire at the relay and ran a new Wire back to the pump. Not really too sure whats cuasing this code but Im not entirely worried about it, Ill resolve it later.
The same thing was happening in my vette before I hooked up the VSS in it. Always in cell 4. After I hooked up a VSS it started going to different cells, even though it never was running right. The SD TPI in my jeep is the same way. No vss and it always stay s in cell 4, never changes.
Well, Im gonna pick up a VSS come end of the month, but I know for a fact that the 86 IROC i just converted to SD didnt have any VSS input, and it worked just fine...
