Is there a Flash or EEPROM replacement for the 27C512?

I am running 2 puters in my 87 GTA. 1227730 is on the engine and 16196395 (from a 94 Truck) is managing the 4L60-E. The latter requires a 27C512 EPROM that can be time consuming to program because I have to wait for it to erase via UV lamp. Now I know there are no 28DIP flashable 2xC512 chips available, but I can get a 32DIP flashable unit that should do the same thing. My question is, can one of these be made to work with the stock 94 PCM by making some kind of an adapter?

Would be very interested to know because I also am using a 27C512 on my 95 Bonneville puter that is running my 3800II Turbo engine. A flash PROM would make life a whole lot easier. Thanks in advance.
