romulator question

Can you take the romulator and plug it into a custom chip and read whats programed on that chip?

Dont think so..... You need to put it into a programmer. Or you could use CM software to download your bin through ALDL, never tried it but I've seen it in the meny of CM software....

No.
You need to use something like a Pocket Programmer.

You'll do better starting with a known good stock .bin file.

hmm darn, see I spent $300 for a custom chip but i also have the romulator The chip needs just a little adjusting but i cant read it

You've obviously gotten the only one in the known universe that needs, just a little adjusting.

You got stung, IMO, for $300 it ought to be perfect when for that much you can buy all the equipment and do all of them you want.

Sadly, folks sell a few chips, and then think their experts when they haven't more then 1-2 clues about what they're doing.

Not to mention the Romulator is meant for Developement work, meaning once your done for a while, you should burn a chip. And a while is hours, not days, or overnight, IMO. And I'd beat a call to Xtronics gets about the same answer.
