Mine's ordered.. I don't think all of the orders need to be placed before they are shipped.. I ordered mine yesterday and Cort acted like no problem it will be shipped right away.

I also ordered an output cable for $8. I plan on using the code modification to datalog O2 voltage with the ALDL

Ummmm .... good luck with that. The code modification was written based on the L1H1 sensor's voltage output ... not the Bosch's output. The AFRs will not be accurate if you use the code modifcation unless you modify the values that correlate AFR to voltage.

I think you can do that internally in the LM1.... The outputs are programmable .

The better thing to do is to obtain an AFR vs. Voltage graph of the Bosch sensor via Innovative .... and then modify the binary file to include those voltages instead of the L1H1 voltages.

BTW - You'll definitely want to be able to insert or remove the code modification at will. Having the code mod triggers the SES light to illuminate for no apparent reason. It's kinda nice because it lets me know that I am running the hacked binary with the WB ALDL output. It just sux when you have to bring all your recent table and constant changes over to the 'street' binary file.

I asked this question in an earliar post but no one had much to say

I think I understand what you are saying. I've seen the O2 graphs before, voltage vs. AFR. Like Matt said, the voltage is adjustable, but your point is that that relationship is not linear and will be different between the Bosch (IM) and the L1H1 (diy).

So what has to be done? I'm going to think out loud here:

Get the voltage vs. afr graph from innovative and use Excel to generate a mathematical equation to represent afr vs. voltage? Then put that equation in the code?? What was done for the current data log bin?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if nothing else I can data log just voltage (and not AFR) and that would be almost as useful.

Thanks,
Austin

BIG_MODS,

No, that's not what I am saying. First - the relationship for both the L1H1 and the Bosch sensor are both pretty much linear.

What I am saying is that you need to compare Mike's AUJP against a stock AUJP and then compare that to the L1H1's voltage vs. AFR graph. Mike incorporated these values directly via a lookup table. A given voltage equals a particular AFR. You need to change the AFRs in the BIN to equate the posted mV to the AFRs of the Bosch graph.

I probably made this sound more difficult than it really is. Basically it's just a 2D table like any other 2D table. You just need to determine how Mike implemented it and then change the values accordingly.

Tim

Email AustinT and see what he says, but I think that it is closed. He did say he would do the GP again if there is enough interest. I am sure all of us who are getting the WB will post results after some use. I plan to take mine to the Dyno and see how it compares to one of the big, nasty, expensive ones the dyno guys use. I expect it to be very close. Anyway, email Austin and see what he says...

Did anyone get theirs yet? I ordered mine a week ago monday and Cort said it would be here on Wed or Thursday of last week. I'm not in a huge hurry to get it, but I'm just a little concerned that it may be lost.

I ordered on Monday along with you guys. They said they were hoping to ship by weeks end. I don't know if they wait until all orders are in before they ship. I do not expect to see the sensor though until late this week. If on Thurs. is does not arrive I will call on Fri. morning and see what the scoop is.

The one WB I just got from PLX shows the Bosch sensor output as a straight line. .1v being 10:1 and 4.7 20:1.

Very different then the DIY-WBs.

I'd kinda ignored this thread, but did you guys all buy one before anyone did any testing of it?.

I guess that is the most reasearch that was done.

I just got mine and began reading the operating manual. It says that this sensor can be used in place of the factory narrow band!! Whewww hoooo!

I believe that I have a single wire O2, it says just hook the output of the LM-1 to that wire and thats it!

I didn't think that this was possible.

Well it turns out that this isn't exactly what I expected... It is still used as a narrow band for the ECM (i initially thought it was used as a WB). Why couldn't it be used as a Wide Band?

How is the IM WB working out for everyone that bought one?

I just got off the phone with a friend of mine, that bought one a little over a month ago.
Still's working, and compared to his other one, it seems accurate. He's not thrilled with the display, but the data logging works well.

Have not had time to try it out yet.

Has anyone had problems loading the software of the CD to your computer? The CD will auto run and brings up the screen to pick were you want it to load but when I click OK it just brings that screen back up.

Tried it on my desktop and my laptop, both are running win 98.

I am having the exact same problem with the CD. I printed the instruction manual off the net, but I have not found the time to read it yet. I was hoping to have some time to play with the WB at work today, but that fell through as well. Dam people breaking their cars on Friday and wanting them fixed in time for Saturday!!!

I hope to find some "tuning" time next week. Will tell how I feel about it then. Right now I am a little ticked about the software not loading...

Maybe one of us should call IM and see what the dilly yo...

Oh yeah, my unit was also shipped with the power switched on so the battery was dead!! No biggie though...

I sent them an email about it today but it was late and I probable will not hear back from them until Monday.

I tried copying all the soft wear to an empty folder to see if that would work, no luck so far.

WOW

I got it to work.

This is what I did, I made a folder on my desktop, then put the CD in, then I canceled the auto run and then opening explore I copied all the files and programs one at a time and pasted them in the folder I made.
I tried to copy all of them at the same time but that does not work, just do them one at a time.

I then clicked on the installLM1 icon and it worked, took only a few seconds to load, the demo is cool, now if it will stop raining I can go test it all out.

I got the unit from the first group purchase and I very happy with it. I am interested on getting the auxiliary input cable #2, can we get a price break on that?
I spoke with Innovate, currently they do not have a group buy for the auxiliary input but in the close future there could be one.

Ajones...I am curious as what you needed to do to get the 730 ECU and RamJet to work.

I am have future plans for a RamJet engine.

How did you get the TPS and IAC to work with the 730 ECU?

Can you detail your install either on a post of via email?
