Yep, I am still interested. I passed on the first 2 group buys, but am in a better postion now to spend the $$. Just not in that big of hurry, since my ROC is parked till April.

Could you run down the price breakdown, and/also the options available?

I think the second group buy ended up being 320 and You pay the shipping. It was a 29 dollar savings. We only need 5 people to reach the break.

This is just for the base unit. They do not offer a group buy for accessories.

3 more people?

The 3rd Group buy was approved with Innovate.
When I spoke with Innovate on the phone, it sounded to me like the group buys were being phased out. I know that our group buy is the only one going at this time. This Group buy will end Friday , Jan 9th
Thanks

I spoke with Innovate today about the group buys. Group buys will not be discountiued they will only be delayed for a while. If anybody is interested in another group buy shoot me a email. It will be 4-6 weeks before we begin the buy however. I Think they will do a GB on the LM1x, thats what I am waiting for.

The Lm-1x is not any better than the Lm1, I have a Lm1 and it works great. The Lm-1x is a unit that will be permanently installed in the car, Sorry I was not real clear. If you want to wait for a Lm1-x thats fine, most guys do not care because the Lm1 does the same thing and can also be permanently installed in the car. I dont know when the Lm1x comes out , It sounded like it would be a while when I spoke with Innovate

I Have a Lm1 that I bought on the first group buy. I will more than likley buy a lm1x also because I am always tunning friends cars. I will keep the Lm1-x in my car and use the lm1 to tune their cars.

Dan

I ordered my unit today. I also picked up the rpm converter and analog output cable. The converter was kind of pricey, but I think it will be helpful to get some other inputs when logging the AFR.

Also read that some folks are outputing the AFR into the ALDL datastream, with a modified bin in the ECM. That would be cool, but not sure if we can do that with MAF '165 ecm. Anyone tried it?

Hope everyone else gets their orders in, so IM can ship monday.

Received mine Thursday, installed it yesterday - its better than I expected.

It CLEARLY shows how badly my car is starving for fuel - time to install the parts in the garage for more fuel, then return to tuning.

I can't imagine using it without loggin RPM, MAP (MAF) and TPS - we made a couple of quick runs, and it was very easy to see the throttle wide open, climbing through the gears, and the AFR WAY out of line...

GREAT PRODUCT!

Chevyhacker, how did you get those other parameters...MAP, MAF, tps, rpm? Did you use the rpm converter module from IM for 99$??
I ordered it also, but I think I am going to send it back. I want to try outputing the AFR into the ECM, then recording all data thru the ALDL on my EASE scan tool
Anyone else done this? I think the DIY-WB'ers have. The modded hacks are out there, so no excuses!

Hi, Just email me your name and a email address where I can reach you. Innovate wants to wait for a few weeks (4) before they start the next group purchase. We can start a list right now and when the time comes for the group purchase we will not have to wait.

Yes, I got the aux cable with rpm converter.

I have a 160 baud ecm, so there is no way I would take ECM logging over this - I can see how you might want to do it with your ecm.

I like the fact I can log other things the ECM doesn't log - like fuel pressure or humidity for example...it just gives me options i don't have, even with ECM hacks.

"I guess that is the most reasearch that was done.

I just got mine and began reading the operating manual. It says that this sensor can be used in place of the factory narrow band!! Whewww hoooo!

I believe that I have a single wire O2, it says just hook the output of the LM-1 to that wire and thats it!

I didn't think that this was possible.
"

How can we get it to work as a WB directly with the ECU? There must be a way.

Yes they will ship to Canada, The group buy price last time was 29 dollars off the total price. It will depend on how many people participate in the GP but it will be around the same this time

As for the widband to ecu. I know the wideband can take the place of the stock O2 sensor. You can then adjust the AFR when the ecm goes into closed loop

would the voltages reported to the ECU be accurate WB voltages? If so couldn't we simply build a table mapping millivolts to AFR?

Maybe calibrate against a dyno WB?

Narrow band O2 Sensors are only accurate at .450 Mv and everything above or below is a guessing game.

What else would the WB 02 sensor require to give out accurate voltage readings throughout the range in NB operation?

Everyone should have the group buy number now. Let me know how everthing works out for you . It will save you 29 dollars off the total price and you choose whatever shipping you like. At the Innovate website when the order is placed, enter the coupon number before you complete the order.
If anyone else wants to sneak in at the last minute I will email you the coupon code
Good Luck
