I can be such an idiot sometimes...finally reading you loud and clear. Basically, to put this in laymen's terms, this special ALDL ecu file gives me access to constants in the bin file that the other ecu file does not. IOW, I edit my bin using the ecu I've been using, save it, then open up the ALDL ecu file, make the changes you mentioned, then save it again...right? Makes sense now...hate you had to dumb it up for me.

Also, I went ahead and added the other TF constants to my ecu file...here are the stock AXKW values:

539 48.00
53A 10.00
53B 10.00
53C 64.00
53D 32.00
53E 7.00
53F 25.00

One more thing...should I change any values over 40.08 in my spark table to 40.08, since that's the max advance? I noticed that several of the values in the upper left corner of the table were over 40.08...just wondering.

I'm about to add 2° more to my table, which will pretty much max out the values in the 40 kPa/2000 rpm area of the table. The next step will be for me to get a better baseline at roughly 50 kPa/1600 rpm, which will allow me to try adding 2° to even more of the table. Which part of the spark table do you recommend I try modifying once I'm done with the highway cruising areas of the table?

Hehe, like Grumpy says, everyone has their Cone Shaped Hat moments.

then save it again...right? Correct

should I change any values over 40.08 in my Sounds fine to me.

Which part of the spark table do

If you have any really good hills that'll put the engine in the mid KPA ranges (50-65ish) you can do that. Some cells you won't be able to reach in steady cruise, A. because there is no hill that steep, B. the engine is making that much power that you are excellerating, C. you don't want to lug the engine down to 1200rpm and 80KPA in high gear, D. the state patrol will most likely not accept that you need to run 166mph in 6th gear inorder to tune the 3200rpm X 80KPA cell in your spark advance table.

Get what you can and worry about the acceleration parts of the spark table after the fuel pressure is figured out. If the pressure is falling, then it probably best not to be adding timing advance.

You know, earlier you mentioned some parts of the VE table are still lean and they don't seem to want to richen up. If this is a higher rpm and KPA cells I wouldn't be surprised to find the fuel pressure is nosing over at that point.
