TunerPro and NT4.0

TunerPro works on NT4.0/SP6a. To say the least I was surprised. All I needed was to download the SHLWAPI.dll from one of the bazillion sites that have it and place it into the /winnt/system32 directory.

Now I see why so many rave about it. I haven't edited a bin in years so was still using PromEdit to develop ECU files. But, PromEdit has it's problems. Once an ECU file gets to have so many entries it starts to go belly up.

With that I figured I'd at least see if TunerPro ran on NT. . . and it does. There are some minor differences in how TunerPro evaluates an ECU file vs. PromEdit, so it is probably better that I moved on to something newer.

For those that don't know PromEdit was the first free public editor available. Wayne also created the ECU file format to go with it. It also runs on DOS.

I haven't been into the diy-efi thing long enough to know of PromEdit, but I agree Mark has done a top job on TunerPro.
I just finished creating a .ecu for the '8625 PCM I intend to replace my 7747 with. Dead Easy

Tunerpro is very nice, definatly the best freeware for obd 1 tuning. I even started an ecu file for the Ford SHO.

Someone's using TunerPro on NT4? Wait, someone's using NT4? <sniff>. Brings a tear to my eye.
