| Help with $5D 808 & 165 running limp mode
For some reason I cannot make this thing to work. It runs the same with the PROM as without any PROM so it tells me it is running in limp mode. This is what I have done;
Engine is a new rebuild 350 TPI roller cam with 10:1 compression.
Cam is a Crane PN 109821 or grind HR-276-2S-12 IG, or
Intake lift: 488 Dur 214°
Exh lift: 509 Dur 222°
Injectors are stock 22lbs
Im using a V6 SD harness modified to have the extra injectors and proper pin alignment acoording to this link;

I don't have knock sensor (BIN below shouldn't use it)
I have tried the ASBX bin posted there and the AFUA bin (stick car) with base pulse at 0.1335.
As stated above the car starts and runs super pig rich and cannot idle at all on its own. I though that maybe the original bin was way off but I don't think my combo is that wild. I tried without a PROM in the ECM and same thing happens so now it makes me think it is not reading the chip. It also doesn't throw any code. Only the basic 12 code.
What could I be doing wrong? Does the ECM needs the knock sensor circuit? May I have a very bad BIN (tried several)?
I'm using Tunercat and Pocket Programmer for all. Any help/hints will be greatly appreciated as I am very close to dump this project by frustration. TIA | | | |
