Pocket Programer II & AT29C256

What do I need to set the buffer start and end at?

Start of device( not buffer) at 04000, end of device at 07FFF

I have a 8746, would be the same? Better yet i know there is some math for this. I know somw one out there can enlighten me.

I believe TC602 is correct. If your bin is 16k, buffer is 00000, device start is 04000, device end is 07FFF. Or you can double the bin and start at 00000, I find it easier to start at 04000. However if your bin is 32k you start at 00000.

I do belive it is a 4k bin but I could be wrong.

I know this a old post but this could be very helpfull to alot of people. It really helped me out.

Setting offsetts for AT29C256 and 27SF512 chips

This includes loading 4k, 16k, 32k, 56k and 64k files sizes on 256k and 512k chips.
