Depends on the calibration.

Assuming AUJP:
0x0042 is diagnostic mode word 3
0x0043 is diagnostic mode word 4
0x00C4 is knock retard

Sorry I was talking about the arap code.

one more question, do you mean the locations vary mask to mask or that each calibration is totally different?

They usually do, and they can.

The locations are the same for each mask and associated calibrations.

For example the $6E (and any calibration based on it) would have one set of addresses for everything, and the $8D would use different addresses for everything, and so on.

Sorry, but no. For further information look at the Tunercat site, and look at the 5B series of Masks. There are 3 very different set of codes used for all three masks, that are all 5Bs. They're even used in different pcms. 8253/3247/1470, as I recall.

so aside from different hardware configurations, the mask will ususally dictate n/v memory locations(not the cal), right?

No, it defines the calibration layout.

Are these RAM addresses, or PROM addresses your referring to? While I dont doubt it, having different RAM addresses and code for each calibration subset for each mask seems a bit counterintuitive.

Whats implied by the letter following the mask ID byte on TC's site? In the 0D there are lots of tables that are used only if TBI/CPI is in use or if a manual/4L60 (or TH400?)/4L60-E is being used. Maybe each one only includes the tables that apply? Im sort of curious now. Maybe Ill cross check different cals in a hex editor and see how much really changes...
