Thanks for the reply John, I was beginning to think I was unwelcome.

My take on your list is that if you can't work out a rev limiter problem, you're going to have much bigger problems with patching the code. If you want questions about that answered, best to list the mask ID and bin you're using. Congratulations on your first post, but most of us mortals started with baby steps .

Mask id is 61. I converted the ECU from a 24 pin socket to 28 pin (adapter from moates.net) so I can run an emulator while I dial it in.

Look, Winald doesn't cut off over 2400 rpm. I've had a similar sounding problem with data cutting off just around idle - it was my cable.

I've been dialing in the VE table via winaldl, but for whatever reason it won't collect blm or int data above 2400 rpms. It'll fill up the table up to that rpm, but it's nothing but zeros above that. I hadn't considered the cable, but I'll contact John and see if he's experienced this before with his cable. Thanks.

Work on getting the cable right, and then try the other problems one at a time.

Have you tried the rpm patch yet? I'm just curious if it is supposed to work when you're not moving or if you have to be in motion (after all, the modified code was originally based on speed)? I guess there's one way to find out, load it up and drive it instead of just reving it in the garage
