anyone have a real AXXC memcal?

I'm looking for a genuine copy of a AXXC bin (305TPI 5spd). Something is not quite right (in my opinion) in the aldl packet definition in the copies I have downloaded from the various bin repositories.

Thanks.

The Mike Davis ECM site has one listed as "personally read from chip". You could diff that one against the one you currently have. Where did you download the base AXXC you used for the NVSRAM hac?

I got my copy from moates.net (specifically, the dyi-efi bin library section).

This is VERY interesting. The bins don't match. Even more interesting, the mode 11 aldl patch is not there! And the mode 1 reply byte start-of-packet is 0xF4 as it should be.

Thanks for the link to the real file.

Mike always seemed to be a straight shooter. I did a diff on Mike's AUJP early on with a BIN that I personally read and it matched. So I have a lot of confidence in what he put up there is correct if he personally read it.

When I went to the $58 code I think I down loaded the BBZB bin from about 5 different places and kept doing MS-DOS "fc /b" on them. Only one of the five came up as different. I went with the majority rules bin.

Good to hear you have a clean bin to put the NVSRAM hac in. I am still commenting the $58 code and know where I need to make the changes for the NVRAM code, but I still need to figure out some of the 0x00CE and 0x0028 bits that keep track of the ALDL Mode and the current SCI RX/TX state. I want to force a revert back to Mode 0 in the code (like you did) instead of needing the TCL script to request it.

Something came up Sunday night so I won't be able to work on it this week. I can probably get back to it this weekend.
