prom swap from 7730 to 7747

I am converting a tbi to tpi, using modified tbi harness with injector leads. Can I use the prom from the 7730 ecm in the 7747 ecm? If not, since all sensors are the same with the exception of MAT, can I run the engine with the 7747 prom?

A 730 uses a memcal, rather then a simple prom holder like a 747. So they won't interchange.

Running a TPI off of a TBI ecm is not for the faint of heart.

There are some real issues like AE., and someone around here just tried it and it was a failure for some reason. Yes Edelbrock does it, but their level of expertise is a tad higher at doing it since they have been doing for several years now.
Be lots easier to rewire things for the newer ecm, IMHO.
