New chip problems

Ok i finally bought all the stuff to burn my own chips and i have been able to get in dialed decently for it being my first time doing this. But, since i have gotten all of my stuff and started to do this i have been having trouble with the check engine light coming on sometimes it flickers very fast(burned incorrectly or installed worng?) but the thing is i will put the chip in and it will run fine a few times for hours a few times for minutes then my check engine light will come on and off and flicker and go crazy. Everythign seems to be tight and well in place i am going crazy. Also i am using a g2 adapter a zif and 27sf512 chips.

Have you tried bypassing the ZIF? Putting the chip directly into the G2 adapter? Also, is it programmed on the chip addressing from F000-FFFF?

Tried bypassing the ziff and with or without it i have found that the only way it runs correctly is if i havfe a buddy push down on the chip or put a piece of duct tape on to push it down tight. What should i do?

Clean up your solder joints (or de-solder and re-solder the assembly). Do all of this carefully.
