After doing several scans to start tuning my part throttle VE values, I've found that my BLK learn cells are all 4 (I have scanned at 1600RPM 30kpa and 40kpa, 2000RPM 30kpa and 40kpa, 2400RPM 30kpa and 40kpa), and the BLK learn's are all at 108. Shouldn't the BLK learn cells be higher? According to the ANHT hac, shouldn't they be anywhere from 6 to 15 (depending on RPM and kpa)? I'm going to burn a new PROM this weekend using Traxion's method for calculating the new values for VE and see if they change. I just thought that the BLK learn cells being at 4 was odd. The PROM in the car is a TPIS Level 5. Any info greatly appreciated.

The Block Learn Cell is just the "number of the cell". Think of the Block Learn as being a "mail box" and it has 16 different cells (4 x 4). Depending on your MAP reading and rpm, the cell number will change between various "mail boxes" (cells). Within those cells it will store a value. That is the BLM value that you are striving to have remain at 128 (actually 128/128).

To see a transition between various cells just vary the load and rpm and the "cell number" should vary from 1-16. But this cell number has absolutely nothing to do with how rich or lean you are running. Only the BLM value will show you that.

It is possible to change the MAP and RPM thresholds of the BLM so that it will use different cells. I found this useful as it seemed my stock setting had almost all my typical driving situations (load and rpm) all in just a couple of cells. So I just changed the thresholds so now it uses more of the table.

Thanks for the reply Glenn. I did see a cell 7 when monitoring the cells while driving and varing the load. Most of the time the cell is at 4 though. Sounds like all of my typical driving situations (load and rpm) are all in just a couple of cells as you mentioned yours were. How did you change your cell thresholds? Is this something that I can do with Tunercat? If so, could you list your cell thresholds? Thanks again, this PROM board is the best thing for newbies like me. Without everyone's help, I would be at some chip burners mercy without ever knowing if the chip was optimized. I guess I just thought that with all of TPIS's resources (I am running their cam intake,and PROM after all), their chip would have been closer to being optimized (BLK learns closer to 128).
