Well I already have Tunercat RT and have been using it for a couple years now, but I see alot of you guys using Tunerpro RT. I did download it and started playing with it, and like some of its features. ALDL link, datalogging and there seems to be a few more tables in the 8D verson of Tunerpro than Tunercat. Im still kinda new to tuning and dont know a thing about source codes, not knowing source codes, would Tunerpro RT still be a good choice for me or should I just stick with Tunercat RT?? Thanks
Oh by the way, without registering Tunerpro RT, what am I not getting? Like I said before, I was playing with it. Not trying to be cheap, was just wondering. Thanks again!

Well, as of now, the different parameters you can change are just separated by type. Like all the tables are grouped together, all the bits are grouped together, etc.
It would be awesome if you could group all the fuel tables, all the spark tables, all the PE bits, etc together... keep everything separated. It would be more orderly at least, and I wouldn't have to fish through 5000 items to find PE Coolant Spark Correction.
That make sense?
Tunercat is no different in this respect, they just list all their parameters too. I like tunerpro because it's free. One of these days I'll register my copy because I love it so much... It's officially on my todo list
i played with Tunercat, it seems like a good program.
TunerPro RT came with my AutoProm, its no doubt a great program, its all i use.
its been so long sense i downloaded & played with TunerPro free im not sure if your missing anything without registering it or not, but it looks like there are a few extra things you get with a registered version, check here, TunerPro and TunerPro RT - Professional Automobile Tuning Software then the second paragraph down under TunerPro RT Features.
the better the ALDL definition file is the better you can see whats going on in your ECM. you can see more with TunerPro RT with the right definition files on OBD1 GM cars than you have ever been able to see with a snap-on MT2500. i use it at work to scan ECMs when ever i can. i highly recommend TunerPro,... its well worth the small price.
Ive done some searches on Tunerpro RT and read about some of the things it has and looks like V5 when it comes out is going to be really nice. Mark seems like he helps everyone he can. Ill proably regester it just beacuse of all the work he put into it. Defenantly worth it!
If i could change/add anything, i would like to be able to bookmark/timestamp datalogs so when you come back to reread the log file you dont have to look and guess for certain things.
Its may be there already, i just havent found it.

I am partial to TunerPro since Mangus is a friend of mine and lives up the road . Regardless though, once you see the datatracing in action, TunerCat can't touch it. Plus Mangus keeps updating and adding new features to TunerPro all the time. TunerCat looks like it hasn't changed in a long time. Also IMHOP TunerPro has much better emulation.

If you export your run to a CSV it will have the timestamp of the date and time it was started. As long as you ALDL definition has Engine run time (if your ECM supports this), then you can see how many seconds it has been running so you could do some math in Excel to get the date and time added to each log. Other wise you could look at how many samples per second you are getting and do it that way.

Use the catergories and levels to group items you want to see for different operations. If you plan it out it works good to make finding things faster.
TP is great and you don't need to pay to create your own definitions or make changes.
