1990 SD 305 to 350 ESC question.

Hi everybody,

I've changed my engine (350 vortec TPI SD) and I'd like to know the difference between the ESC in the prom from a 305 and the one from a 350.

Is it mandatory to change it or could I change the timing in the prom to correct the difference or am I totally wrong?

a lot!

You can just change the parameters (displacement and injector size to start) within the eprom. The risk you have is "limp mode" probably won't work should you need it. But most guys that significantly modify their engine have that problem anyway.

It would probably be best to change the knock sensor to a 350 type as well.
