1) Does the 1227747 ECU "save" its learned BLM numbers (in the 9 cells) when the engine is shut off OR does all BLM data have to be re-learned upon the next startup??? 2) if the BLM learned in the 100MAP at 3600rpm cell is, say, 135, and you are driving in that cell (if you could) and then you go to WOT from taht cell, is the 135BLM used for the PE or is 128 ALWAYS USED IN PE no matter what???

Have you actually gone thru the code?.
Remember scanners sometimes lie.

the only way to be absolutely sure of what an ecm does is to go thru the code, ie not the short hacs that name the variables. Some of them are even bogus.

Gm uses 1 of two strategies.
A rich correction for PE, or locked at 128.
A scanner may show other then that, but again that's just what's reported on the ALDL commo.

Grumpy, what exactly would I look for in the hack to see if the BLM's are "stored" for later use and what to look for to see if 128 is always the BLM for PE?

Fast_broker, I will see if I have some time later this week to sit down and look. I saw in the hack where the 16 cells are located. The '7747 is very well documented - I highly reccomend that you read through it, you'd be surprised what you can learn. I don't know diddly about assembly but I can go through it and figure things out. It's completely commented, and well worth the time to go through it and understand it.

You can even change the BLM cell boundaries and change the update rate, if you know where to look!

I hear ya. I have a full hack but was sure on eof the Gurus like Grumpy would know off the top of his head, taht's all.

I usually wait for my truck to get fully warmed before I hook a tool to it so that's why I am not sure of the BLM's after startup. I suppose I could hook it up before the intial start and map the BLM's in WINALDL and should easily be able to tell from that. Along with researching the hack.
