1227165 $32B or $6E which would benefit me ?

First off id like to state im quite new to prom programming and have spent many hours reading posts on proms and programming and have found it quite fun and interesting. However one question has arrised thats got me quite confused and im hisitating on what to do. I am running a 87 iroc z with 165 ecm I have installed the prominator chip and have downloaded tunerpro rt, my engine combo is what has me stumped, I have no emmisions on my system except for the fuel canister system, and the car is now a 355 behind a 5 speed which I dont beleive will effect my programming considering its only a CI change. That being said with the EGR system / cold start injector all completely gone and a far from stock engine setup with a holley stealth ram and 58mm tb (possibly a new MAF sensor thats larger which will be determined once engine is started for first time) would i benefit from using a different bin file for instance a newer corvette with an agressive bin? I have read a few using the $6E file which seems to be from a 89 165 ecm which has cold start injector disabled by default, would it benefit me to just start with the newer 89 bin, disable egr then start tuning from their or should I stay with my stock bin file and deffinition file for the 165 $32B on tunerpros site? Just need some pointers in the right direction, my heads already spinning trying to learn all these functions and triggers ect, as im trying to get the ecm semi decetly programmed before I start the engine for the first time .. so help would be greatly appreicated.

Thanks,
Corey

You MUST use $6E, basically (since no cold start). Also, start with an F-Body 305 5-speed bin and modify the injector constants to match your injector flow rate. Then, consider updating ALL the MAF tables and scalars to AUJM specs, and Spark tables to whatever, such as ARAP or AUJM. Set the EGR enable temperature to really high. Set the fan temperatures to a bit lower, closer to your thermostat temp.
There aren't many simple options for a larger MAF, but if you are a good learner, you can figure it out.

looked on ftp sites and tuner's site cant find an exact bin as your describe any tips on where i might be able to find a 305 5 speed bin for $6E, another question i got is since my comp was originally $32B all i need to do is use a different bin deffinition and upload a $6E bin file to the ecm prom correct ?

you could use an 89 6E vette bin for manual trans... eg APYP which is for a 350 . if your motor still has the 305 injectors then you can set the injector flow rates to 19 lb and the fueling should be closer.
also the APYP timing tables are overly aggressive b/c they're for alum heads , so you may want to adjust them to AUJM just like RednGold says, and also the flag for the A/C fan switch needs to be reversed b/n 32B and 6E otherwise the primary cooling fan will constantly run.
good luck tuning the HSR.

Thank you for all the great input, however today I tried to start the car and cant get it to run. Seems the injector wiring harness has no power going to it when the cars being turned over, yet theirs power to the fuse box for the injectors. Now would this be an issue with the new $6E bin file i uploaded or a problem along the lines of wires or possibly ecm ?

Did you disable the vats? (Vehicle Anti Theft System), that would do it. Its in the bin.

To disable it in tunerpro rt i go under flags / switches and uncheck vats enable and click save correct ? or is their more switches or settings that must be changed ?

EDIT: Works thank you guys for all the help !!
