Re: APU1 AutoProm

I use the AutoProm and love it. Check out http://moates.net/ and read about the functions of it vs the Ostrich. You can do a heck of a lot with it.

Quite a few people are using the AutoProm, and as many or more as using the Ostrich.

The emulation portion of the APU1 is basically identical to the Ostrich, so you can go either way there. The APU1 also includes an ALDL interface and a chip burner. The Ostrich, however, is just an emulator (you'll need an external ALDL interface if you choose to go that route).

The AutoProm is an "all in one" package. Tuning with the Ostrich typically requires a few other components.

For either the Ostrich or the AutoProm, you'll need a chip adapter for your ECM (G1 or G2 depending on your ECM).

Re: APU1 AutoProm

i have the AutoProm & i love, it does everything i expected it to do, coming with TunerPro was icing on the cake.
if you already have a chip burner & can data log, the Ostrich is probably the way to go, if you don't have a burner, then the AutoProm is the way to go.

Re: APU1 AutoProm

hmm the search must have been broke if there were no results..

I recently bought the Autoprom USB and it is very nice.

APU1 = Ostrich + chip burner/reader + ALDL cable

both ostrich and autoprom will let you do realtime changes im almost certain
