Re: Memcal question

From what I know, you need to get the memcal for 305 or 350 TPI engine. The V6 will not work.

Re: Memcal question

ACTUALLY, I've tried re-programming a V6 mecal and ran it on a V8 and it did work. You will get a code 51 though AND you will NOT have Limp Mode if you need it.

But to do it right, you really need a 350 AUJP Memcal, need to replace your Knock Sensor and set the "VSS Type" switch to the type used in the $6E.

I suspect the reason you are going away from the MAF system is because you plan to use boost. However, you stay N/A, the MAF system can easily be tuned - even for a maxed out MAF.

Re: Memcal question

I will be switching to forced induction of one type or another eventually I already have a blower kit its just not on the car and I'm trying to put together a turbo system

Although I will say that my car runs very well without any tuning on my stock maf system the only thing is that ocassionally it will stumble while crusing on the highway but if you let out of the pedal and get back on it it goes away
