Just a quick question. would it cause any problems by moving the rpm point at wich Pe is delayed. EX- moving it from a stock setting of 3000rpm to say 950rpm. Im just wondering if this will cause a bog do to letting Pe engage sooner?? I currently have Pe tps% set at 46% throttle. Any thoughts on the subject would be great. I am using a 7747 ecm with $42 mask.

I have NO PE delay on my 350. 0 seconds and 0 RPM. It hits like a good running Q-Jet when the pedal is floored from a dead stop. Tire squeal and everything.

What Fast355 said. And, to take it another step this is a patch I wrote some time ago (7+ years?). It does two things: bypasses the forced knock test, and bypasses the PE mode temperature & time delay. You may run into it elsewhere, it is called: ESC_DONE

In a hex editor change your BIN as follows, starting at $BD5, enter the following values:

$96 $0A $8A $80 $97 $0A $20 $12

It bypasses the forced knock test by setting the status as if it was already successfully run. The PE delay/temperature is bypassed as that code is no longer run.

(Note: this patch is for the '7747 ONLY).

Once again thanks for the great advice guys. One thing that has eluded me is how to do a patch on my bin files. Im using tunerpro for editing where would you look to do this kind of patch> Thanks for helping out a rookie

IIRC, Tuner pro-RT has a basic hex editor in it. you'd enter it there. You can also use hex workshop. They let you use it for a month or so without registering. Basically, after opening your bin, you go to the hex address given and literally type the values into the bin. After that, open the bin in TP and it'll automatically update the checksum when you save the bin again.

Ok that make sense I will try and find out where the right address is and start Hacking. I havnt attempted this yet so thanks for the Help!!
