I've started the prom for my motor swap, the engine's getting done within a few weeks and I'm trying to rough up a prom to drive it home once it's installed. I'm using Tuner Pro and modifying a stock 1989 Firebird bin. So far I've taken the timing table and smoothed it out plus taken out alot of the cruise timing, it now looks like this;

I then went into the PE vs RPM and made it this to compensate for the fuel up high demands (starts at 600 goes down to 0).

*sorry if the timing table is confusing it looks like it overlaps*.
Is this going to be even close? I've never datalogged but I have the setup, I just want to be able to drive this thing before I really start having to tune it.
Re: Vortec 350 + LPE 74216 cam + HSR am I even close?
I have a similar setup... Let me know how that is going for you. What is your FP set at and what is your inj. constant? I'll compare that /w my timing table when i get back to college later.
Re: Vortec 350 + LPE 74216 cam + HSR am I even close?
Engine isn't installed yet, injector constant's are set at the stock 22, base angle is set at 6 but I think I'm going to bump that up to 10 in the prom and set it that way on the car. Fuel pressure will be stock, non adjustable regulator on the Stealth Ram. I'll keep you posted on what it actually does in the car.
Re: Vortec 350 + LPE 74216 cam + HSR am I even close?
From 3600-up in rpms, you can run 28* timing more than likely from 90-100 kpa...just make sure you run 93 octane. Now, for the idle, I would look in the 30-60 kpa cells and put those near 22-23 in 600 to 800 rpms. For the initial tune, set the idle to about 700 rpms.
Re: Vortec 350 + LPE 74216 cam + HSR am I even close?
This is the $6e xdf and I'm using a stock MAF tune to begin with, how do the lV8 tables convert to the kpa tables? Initial idle is set to 750 as per Lingenfelters recommendation. It's rough finding stuff for these MAF computers, I'm still not sure where my LV8 is falling under WOT.
