I'm buying the APU1 and the GP1 pack for tuning my 89 GTA.
I was already "Planning" to buy an Autometer Wide Band Oxygen sensor guage for it. Is there a way to modify this to hook up to the APU1 or laptop? Or do I need to get something else?
Also...if I want to datalog AFR on more than 1 vehicle...what's the best way to go about this without buying a sensor and guage for multiple vehicles...or at least a different guage for every vehicle?
I've done searches and haven't found answers I'm looking for. I appreciate it.
I'm guessing I could buy an Innovative Motorsports for $350, and just a sensor and wire for each vehicle. Would the Innovative unit hook up to dataloggingsoftware that I'm buying from Moates?

One thing about WB sensors is that they can not be left in the exhaust of a vehicle being driven without being powered up. So you can't leave the sensor in a car without the controller connected & powered up if the car gets driven.
Typically folks will connect the WB output to a pin on the ECM and modify the ECM code. This puts the WB value into the ALDL data stream to be data logged.
The other method is to use the data logging capability of the WB unit and log the MAP & RPM along with the WB value.
I dont believe Moates freebie software has any WB02 functionality. Follow Rbobs advice and look into datalogging software that either comes with the WB02 (Innovatives comes with it) and research into how you can use your current ECM to interact with your proposed WB02.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but I have a quick question: do I connect a 0-5v source, or a 0-1v source if I use the hac? I'm assuming I can connect a 0-1V simulated NB directly in place of the nb sensor, on the same input wire as the nb sensor....

If the ECM hac is to log the WB then it will be the 0-5 V output. This will also be a different pin then the NB input pin. For the standard NB input to the ECM it can only be the 0-1 V output.
the 730 ECM can't use a wideband input.
the only Hi & low input i show is for the VSS.
which pins do you show to be listed as WBLow & WBHi?
i think it must be a misprint
E14 is the O2 sensor input, with the O2 sensor unhooked & the key on you should see around 0.450 volts on this terminal.
E15 is a ECM ground for the O2 sensor.
if you have a problem with E15, it can cause the O2 reading the ECM sees to be wrong. tapped into the O2 sensor wire with a DVOM, it may show, lets say 0.650 MV but the ECM could report in the data stream 0.400 MV. this can cause all kinds of problems with fuel delivery.
i've never messed with 59, i don't know. i would guess its for data logging the wideband in the data stream.
