7427 Chip offset & K's??

This may be a dumb question but Im going to start tuning My freinds truck tomorrow and it has the 7427 ecm. Now im very familiar with tuning myself and I use the burn1/tunerprort/winaldl etc etc. Now I do have the HDR1 memcal reader and would like to read his stock chip first as a base line to use for programing. Now Im just wondering what the Kilibite rating of these chips are and what CHip offset setting's I should use to read his stock chip?? I have the chip offset setting's and dont know what chip the stock memcal style would fall under?? 4K-16K-32K etc. And what you would consider the stock chip to be 2732a/27c128/27c512-??? Or any other setting that i should use. Sorry for the long thread and Greatly appreciate Help on this simple Question.

Re: 7427 Chip offset & K's??

its been a few years since i read my stock chip, but i do have the 7427 $0D stuff in my 95 and it is a 64k chip. i set my chip to 27sf512 for burning. you probably set it to the 27c512 for reading since that is a read only chip.
