I just got a new manifold and it doesn't have provisions for a CSI 9th injector. Can I just use the $6E mask and an 89 bin or do I have to stay with the $32b mask and an 88 bin?

The cold start injector is not controlled by the ECM. Its controlled by the temp switch on the front of the intake manifold. (A separate temp switch, not the coolant temp switch with the black/yellow wires that DOES go to the ECM). That 9th injector temp switch only activates when the temp is less than 40 degrees F. If your climate doesnt get that cold, you're fine. However, it is worth it to upgrade to the $6E bin because of the various changes and improvements made to the $6E code over the $32 code. However, you must be able to tune your own custom chips, as the $6E code has VATS in it that will make an earlier car unable to start.
You will also need to switch the fan relay setting in the constants. I dont remember which way it is, but if its normally closed, uncheck the box to make it normally open, and vice versa. Otherwise your fans will run backwards, on when its cool and off when its hot.
