Re: ARFP.BIN vs AXCN.BIN

It looks like the AXCN is a updated version of the ARFP, alots of changes in the code but not so much in the "chip tables".

Re: ARFP.BIN vs AXCN.BIN

One interesting difference is that the CCP output is inverted between the two. IOW: one BIN has the CCP solenoid active when the driver output is low, the other BIN while the driver output is high.

What "is" the driver output in this case? Cant it be IAC position?

Re: ARFP.BIN vs AXCN.BIN

They also changed the "Force Idle cell learn if CCP DC"

Maybe a prg error from GM that they fixed in -91?

I'm in the car buisness so I know how many mistakes that can be made.........

The driver output activates the CCP solenoid. The thing is, CCP solenoids come in both NO and NC versions. So there may have been a change in which solenoid was used. Or there was a mistake in the calibration. A mistake in the calibration would have the cannister solenoid purging when it shouldn't be. And not purging when it should be.
