First, it will depend on whether it's MAF or SD. For MAF, the differences won't be too much (other than rpm cut-off speeds if you use that). This is provided that you do not "max the MAF". If you do, then you will have another problem. And most likely use the P/E tables to provided extra fueling - an the MR would need the most at the higher rpms.
For SD, your VE & Extended VE tables tend to be flatter with more fuelling for the higher rpm range for the MR (if everything is identical except the HSR vs MR intakes). Of course, mechancially what would be a great cam for the HSR may not be the best cam for the MR. And vice versa. But, in the situation of two identical engines with the only difference being the intakes, the above would be the changes you would see between the two eproms.

I would aggree with this. My custom cam grinder spec'd a different grind with my HSR than what would have been done with LT1/Miniram intakes. If i dont like this HSR and think there is more performance in the motor with miniram, i'll go miniram and try same cam/tune. Then maybe get a new grind
But like said i think for the most part the tunes will be close between the two with an off the shelf popular cam grind. Only difference is the high rpms stuff...miniram tends to breathe more up top
I would also think you will have more heat soaking and transfer with the HSR due to increased runner length and larger plenum. I have my HSR setup running well when cold but had to take it down a notch because of intake heating was causing detonation after the temp stabilized. Usually takes about 1/2 hour to 45 mins to fully come up. That's when I would start getting some knocks at higher loads and lower speeds.
Unfortunatley, heat soak is a problem with ALL of these intakes. I can attest that even the MR also soak up a lot of heat too. The MR being one big casted piece of aluminum makes it quite the heat sink. However, if you can get some cooler outside air (a function of what car you have), that can help a lot. I wonder if "coating" the inside would help?
Coating should help. It does wonders to headers by keeping heat inside, i bet it works the opposite as well and keeps heat from effecting the air intake charge
Miniram i dont think would be as bad as stealth ram tho in the heat sink department. Seems like there is more material on the stealth ram base to soak up the heat
I've always seen a .1 gain in the 1/4 by icing both TPI and HSR at the track between rounds when the engine was hot. So anyway to eliminate intake heat is a plus
The MR is almost a valley cover with runners attached , big air gap under plenum ,where as the HSR does not have any sort of splash pan underneath so the oil can splash all the way up to the plenum.
