i feel like i'm starting to win this fight

i have made the switch to the super_aujp_v4 and i am
now seeing all the data on my snap on scanner.
recap: changed torque converter / changed exhaust /
more porting on intake / installed 30 lb injectors / delete
smog / installed 58 mm tb / install underdrive pulley etc .
car would not run i thoght it was a limp mode issue but
i had a bad ecm temp sensor (-39 c output)
i had a bad ignition module ( reference pip failure)
in 8d software it had a fixed rpm output of 6375 rpm
so i was operating in the cells that delt with that rpm and temp.
i installed the superaujpv4 stuff and now it is up and running
with no codes and it responds to the changes i make.
i still have a couple of issues:
i am still unable to use tunerpro to see the data thru the aldl.
i used the .ads from http://www.moates.net/files/2)%20Cus...JP_V4_1026.zip
and my inovative wide band shows rich (mid 11's -low 12's) while
my factory o2 sensor stays at .3-.5 mv mainly and the blm is
126-130. if i change the VE to get the wide band right i have blm's
in the 150 -160 range .

any ideas on my 2 problems ???

Re: i feel like i'm starting to win this fight

To change the CL AFR you'll need to alter the o2 tables.
This will change the "swing" points so the BLM respond to lower values. Otherwise as you discovered, Lowering the VE just makes the BLM correction add the fuel back in.

Look in the package for the V4.
There is a spreadsheet that shows how the tables work together and what the values look like when charted.
Dropping the values in the 40 to 70 MAP range may do the trick.
Go slow with the adjustments (20 mV at a time) and keep them in relation with each other.
The spreadsheet was made so I could shift all of the values using the "Coolant" modifier table only (rather than doing individual table points)

In AUJP the coolant table is all 0's so it allows me to add 100 mV into all values in the 3 tables and then have 100 mV subtracted by the "Coolant" table. This in effect cancels out the adder and retains the stock settings.

From there all that is needed is to change the Coolant table up/down to shift the entire set of 3 table values. Once you get a feel for it you can go and change specific points in each table manually.
You don't need to do the 100 +/- thing, just edit as needed in the tables.
Just something I made to help visualize what I was doing.

Don't know why you can't get data. Double, triple, ... settings for comm and cables etc.
Try ScannerPro or Datamaster to see if they work too.

BTW, 1024 is the older version.
1026 is the latest but had an error in the Extended VE table XDF definition.
Easy to correct, there is a thread about it.
Just needed to change the address in the XDF and re-save.
All other functions are the same with the addition of NVSRAM use and a program ID feature.

L84F6 is the addy.
I put the actual table addresses on the spreadsheet so you can see where the data comes from and goes to.
I hope it makes sense the way I wrote it

Re: i feel like i'm starting to win this fight

JP,

I want to ask Tunercat to add it to the $8D for hex ignoramouses like me. Want to make sure I have the right name for the table. Could you please tell me what it is (rather than me mis-interpret your attachment and send Tuneract off on a wild goose chase).

Thanks.

Re: i feel like i'm starting to win this fight

I'm going to have to look into this later tonight. Might be what I need to help smooth out my idle......

You guys are just impressive. This stuff is so far over my head, yet you manage to break it down into digestable chunks for the rest of us.....

thanks!

I'll look back into the name before I spew something out.
There's enough confusion on names to begin with. I much rather go by address, then description because everyone can call things differently.
The info came from RBob's great write up on the fueling and worked it back to the info in the hac, so I'll re-look at that to confirm.
