Some basic tuning questions

I am new to this, although I have been going through posts for quite awhile now trying to figure this thing out. I have successfully burnt chips and successfully gotten datalogs from my car. Now I'm at the point on what to change.

I have not found any conclusive info on tuning the 6e fuel. It is my understanding that it is desirable to get BLM around 128. It seems many do this by altering the MAF tables. I understand that the ECM calculates fuel based on the amount of air it thinks is coming in the engine, but is this the correct way to do this? Or is this the only way because there is no table for injector PW?

But furthermore, are you really getting anywhere if you get the BLM near 128 or not? I thought the BLM was simply a correction that is being made? Granted there would be less correction the closer it is to 128, but wouldn't the end result be the same? And if you wanted to actually change the fuel ratio, isn't that 100% dependent on theO2 sensor (in closed loop anyway)? Wouldn't changing stoichbe the only way to actually change the mixture?
